EastLake Leadership College exists to provide a holistic approach to ministry and education by combining educational opportunity, practical ministry training, individual student experience, and personal discipleship.

  • Educational Opportunity: Through our partnership with Southeastern University, students receive access to both accredited associate’s degree and bachelor’s degree program offerings.
  • Practical Ministry Training: Each semester, students are assigned to a ministry area in which they are able to receive practical ministry leadership training and real-world experience.
  • Individual Student Experience: Students in the EastLake Leadership College will be afforded missions trip, conference, and retreat opportunities and programming.
  • Personal Discipleship: Through a relationship-focused program students will pursue a path of spiritual and character development via mentoring and coaching, peer-to-peer relationships, and individual growth.

At the core of EastLake Leadership College is a foundational principle: Preparation for ministry best achieved by combining challenging academic instruction with practical ministry application. That’s why every student in the college program is assigned to a church ministry role within the EastLake Church Network. Each semester, students are assigned a ministry practicum that provides invaluable ministry experience and the opportunity for personal and professional growth. Through ongoing involvement in and leadership of a ministry team at EastLake, our students increase their capacity for leadership while making an eternal impact in our world.

EastLake Leadership College has partnered with Southeastern University (Lakeland, FL) so that challenging and high quality degree programs are available at both the associate and bachelor degree levels. Students enroll in a full course load each semester, putting them on track to earn their associate’s degree in two years or bachelor’s degree in four years.

Through the partnership with Southeastern, students have the opportunity to learn in a variety of ways, including traditional classroom instruction, online/distance learning, and ministry practicum.

The programs of the EastLake Leadership College are currently only available for students pursuing an associate’s or bachelor’s degree in ministry who are enrolled on a full-time basis.  Full time enrollment incorporates a minimum of 12 credits of academic instruction and 3 credits of ministry practicum per semester.  Although part-time, evening, and other flexible enrollment options are not yet available, we hope to be able to offer them in the future.

Southeastern University is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges to award associate, baccalaureate, master’s, and doctorate degrees. EastLake Leadership College is not separately accredited by the SACS Commission on Colleges. Students must be admitted by Southeastern University and enrolled in university courses to receive the benefits of regional accreditation.
